April 7 is #407Day

Need a reason to order in? Orange County, FL, and Visit Orlando have declared today, April 7, 2020, as “#407Day.”

The idea is to support local restaurants by ordering food to go and posting photos on social media with the hashtags #407Day and #OrlandoToGo and the tags @VisitOrlando and @OrangeCoFL.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings said, “Our restaurant community is a vital part of who we are as a region. We are all facing challenges because of COVID-19, but we must continue to support our local restaurants. I encourage our residents to order takeout or delivery. This gesture can make a difference in helping to lift up our neighbors through this crisis.”

Check out the Orlando Sentinel and Visit.Orlandocom/togo lists of Central Florida restaurants open for takeout and delivery (not just today, but every day).

Remember, restaurants are now allowed to include adult beverages in takeout orders and delivery orders (providing they have the license to sell it, of course).
